How long does it take to make a company video, from first call to final cut?

A company video moves through five stages: objective, pre-production, production, post-production, and delivery with revisions. At IAVA Productions, standard projects are delivered within 7 business days after the shoot, and larger projects take longer. The time before the shoot depends on how much planning the video needs, and we agree the timeline with you before we start.

What are the stages of a company video?

  1. Objective: the first call. We agree what the video should do for your business, who it is for and where it will be used.
  2. Pre-production: we plan the structure, music and key shots, and prepare interview questions or a script.
  3. Production: the shoot day at IAVA Studio or on location, covering setup, light and sound checks, filming and wrap.
  4. Post-production: editing, colour grading, sound design and motion graphics.
  5. Delivery and revisions: you receive the cut, give notes, and we deliver final high-resolution files plus cuts for social and the web.

How long does editing take after the shoot?

Standard edits are delivered within 7 business days after the shoot. Two revision rounds are included. Larger projects, such as a multi-day shoot or a long film with many versions, take longer, and we give you the dates up front.

What makes a project take longer?

  • Scripts, approvals or interview questions that need several rounds before filming.
  • Multiple shoot days, locations or people to coordinate.
  • A long film with many short cuts and platform versions.
  • Feedback that arrives slowly or from several people at different times.

Within 7 business days on standard projects. Larger projects take longer, and the date is agreed before we start.
How many revision rounds are included?
Two. Additional rounds are billed hourly. Errors on our side are fixed at no charge.
Can you work to a fixed date?
Yes. Share the date at the first call and we plan the shoot and edit backwards from it.
What do I receive at the end?
High-resolution MP4 files plus cuts for social and the web. Raw footage is not included unless agreed.
