Where can I record a video podcast in Toronto?

You can record a video podcast in Toronto at IAVA Studio, a studio in Kensington Market run by IAVA Productions, which also handles editing, clips and distribution. A good podcast studio has controlled light, clean sound, more than one camera and a set that looks the way you want your show to look. IAVA Studio has six setups, multi-camera recording and a full production team if you want one.

What does IAVA Studio offer for podcasts?

IAVA Studio at 250 Augusta Ave, Unit 204B, is 18 by 35 feet and fits up to 20 people. It has fully controlled light, a makeup station and a waiting area. Podcast gear includes four podcast microphones, a Zoom PodTrak P4 recorder and RODE Wireless GO II microphones, with a three-camera setup on a Sony A7S III and two Sony ZV-E1s.

You can choose from six setups: Main, Blacked Out, Grass Wall, Grey Backdrop, Green Screen and White Curtains. Hours are flexible and booked by request.

Can I just rent the studio, or do I need the full service?

Both work. External crews are welcome in the studio. If you want end-to-end help, IAVA Productions handles strategy, branding, multi-camera recording, editing, 8 to 10 clips per episode and distribution.
