What does each setup give you?
| Cameras | What you get | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | One angle for the whole conversation | Simple interviews and quick recordings |
| 2 | One angle per speaker, switching between them | Two-person conversations |
| 3 | A wide shot plus a close-up of each speaker | Video podcasts and interviews you will cut into clips |
What matters more than the number of cameras?
- Sound. Good microphones and clean audio matter more than the picture.
- Light. Even, controlled light makes any camera look better.
- Framing. A steady shot at eye level feels natural.
- A person to watch the monitors and the audio while you talk.
What audio gear do you need?
A dedicated microphone for each speaker and a recorder that keeps each voice on its own track gives the editor room to fix levels. IAVA Studio uses four podcast microphones, a Zoom PodTrak P4 recorder and RODE Wireless GO II microphones.

How IAVA Productions does it
We plan the number of cameras around your format and your guests. In the studio, we set up a three-camera recording with controlled light and clean sound, then edit the episode and cut 8 to 10 clips per episode.
Tell us about your show and we will recommend a setup. External crews are also welcome to book the studio.
